Each intern was exposed to various functions and projects during their duration here. 

 

 

Longport Media conducted the following group tours at our broadcast facility:

 

Mainland High School: 20 Students on January 11

 

 

Longport Media conducted a job fair at our facility for summer account executives on May 4.

 

Longport Media provided the following outreach programs to students interested in careers in broadcasting or learning about the broadcasting industry:

 

Longport Media administers the following scholarships for high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting:

                The Howard L. Green scholarship

                The Tom Lamaine Scholarship

Longport Media conducts the “Stars of Tomorrow” program, a program on WWAC from February to May 2013 that each week presented a program entirely produced by students of 1 of 9 local high schools interested in learning about careers in broadcasting.  The students received production training about the elements of the program one week and presented the produced show the following week.

Longport Media invites a local high school student interested in learning the broadcast industry to cohost the Bob Burns program on WOND one day every week.
