Billy Joel has announced that he will become Madison Square Garden's first-ever "music franchise" in 2014.  Starting with his previously announced January 27 concert, The Piano Man will play one show each month at the famed New York City venue "as long as there is demand." The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer made the announcement at a press event on Tuesday at the venue with Garden honchos and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in attendance.

Joel, of course, has had a long history with Madison Square Garden.  He's played a total of 46 concerts at the arena, including a record-breaking run of 12 sold-out shows in 2006.  The latter milestone earned the singer/songwriter a special banner that is displayed in the rafters of the venue.

Joel has just added a May 9 concert, which falls on his 65th birthday, to the four sold-out shows he's already scheduled in 2014 -- on January 27, February 3, March 21 and April 18.  Tickets for the May event will go on sale to the general public this Saturday at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.  Citi Card members can buy pre-sale tickets starting Wednesday at 10 a.m.

"Today’s announcement that Billy Joel is joining the Madison Square Garden family as their first music franchise is truly a momentous occasion," says Cuomo in a statement. "It is particularly fitting that these two great icons are coming together to make entertainment history right here in New York.  I offer my congratulations to Billy Joel and Madison Square Garden and the millions of fans worldwide who will benefit from this collaboration for years to come."

I can't think of a better way for the JOKER to celebrate his 40th and the Steve Miller Band to enjoy next summer than playing all our hits for all of our fans as we tour the entire USA with our brother San Francisco bands, Journey and the Tower Of Power, says Steve Miller.  This is going to be a NOT TO BE MISSED TRIFECTA OF THE BEST OF SOUL, GREATEST HITS AND ARENA ROCK by three of the greatest bands to come out of San Francisco, clearly a once in a life time event.  We can't wait to get
started!

Diamond-certified album holder Journey has sold 80 million albums worldwide and has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums since its formation in 1973 in San Francisco. The prestigious “Legend of Live Award” was presented to Journey at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards to honor the band’s contributions to live music and the touring business and to acknowledge their commitment to fans and the art of performing live.  The band’s 2011 World Tour was one of the band’s most successful tours ever, drawing nearly a million fans and ranked in the Top 15 Tours of the year. 2011 also marked the 30th anniversary of the band’s seminal anthem, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the biggest selling song from the 20th century in iTunes history.  In 2013, Journey toured four continents and performed to more than half a million fans.

One of rock music's all-time greats, the Steve Miller Band has sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning more than 40 years.  His trademark blues-rock sound has made him one of the defining artists of classic rock radio.  The 2013 touring season by the Steve Miller Band follows four of the most busy, productive years in the long, illustrious career of Steve Miller.  He has released two albums in the past few years including the number one blues album, Bingo, and its successor, Let Your Hair Down - the first new Steve Miller Band in eighteen years.  In 2010, Miller went back to Europe for the first time in 25 years for a hugely successful round of dates culminating in a sold-out Royal Albert Hall concert in London that opened the door for the band to tour Europe twice in the past three years.  In demand around the world as well, they also launched a tour of Australia and New Zealand in Spring 2013.

Kool 98.3 & Foreigner Launch High School Choir Search

Winning choir will perform live on stage with Foreigner at their sold-out show at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City, June 15, re-creating their iconic 1985 hit “I Want to Know What Love Is”

Linwood, NJ (May 21, 2013)   South Jersey’s greatest hits station, Kool 98.3, is launching a search for a local high school choir to perform live on stage with the legendary band Foreigner, when they perform to a sold-out crowd in Atlantic City at the Golden Nugget’s The Grand theater on Saturday, June 15 (9pm).

Foreigner’s 1985 #1 smash hit "I Want To Know What Love Is" was originally recorded with the New Jersey Mass Choir singing background vocals, which inspired the band to re-create this unforgettable sound -  live -- using a local choir to perform alongside them. Foreigner’s brand of an electrifying mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans. Founded in 1976, Foreigner has sold more than 70 million albums and has experienced multi-platinum success around the world.

High school choirs throughout South Jersey can submit a video of a performance (5 minutes or less in duration) via Kool 98.3’s website, kool983.com.  Music selection is up to the participating choir. The public can view the videos and then vote for their favorite performance via kool983.com.

The choir with the most votes will be announced live, on-air on Friday, June 7th, on Kool 98.3’s Morning Wake-Up with Dave & Tina and will have the exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform Foreigner’s hit “I Want to Know What Love Is” with the band live on-stage at The Grand.

“We were very excited when Foreigner reached out to us to see if we could partner with them on this talent search,” explains Paul Kelly, VP of Broadcast Operations for Longport Media & Kool 98.3. “It’s great to have a group of music legends who are genuinely nice guys, willing to go the extra mile to offer local students the once in a lifetime opportunity to perform on stage with them.”

Kool 98.3 will also be hosting an exclusive giveaway for one lucky listener to receive a special pair of VIP tickets, including backstage passes & a meet and greet with the band.  For more details, visit kool983.com, listen on your radio at 98.3FM or via the free, Tune-In app on your smartphone.

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MARY WALTER RETURNS TO AIRWAVES ON KOOL 98.3

Linwood, NJ (April 1, 2013)   Evenings in South Jersey just got a lot brighter and more entertaining as Longport Media announced the return of popular talk radio host Mary Walter to New Jersey airwaves beginning Monday, April 8, on WTKU – KOOL 98.3.

Walter will bring her relaxed yet edgy style of talk that explores relationships, personal tendencies and life in general with her new talk show, Life! With Mary Walter, Monday through Friday from 9PM until midnight.

A New Jersey native, Walter brings more than 20 years of experience in talk radio to the South Jersey station. Mary spent the majority of her career hosting Passion Phones on NJ 101.5 (WKXW) in Trenton. The show was a combination of relationship-based talk topics and relationship advice and was the first program to simultaneously impact both the Philadelphia and New York radio markets. She also became the state’s first female morning-drive radio host when she took over the morning slot at New Brunswick-area radio station, WCTC.

Mary currently is a guest host for a variety of stations across the country including Fox News Talk, where she can be heard filling in for Brian Kilmeade, Spencer Hughes, Tom Sullivan and John Gibson. She also appears as a guest on the Alan Colmes Show.  Mary can be seen on the Fox News Channel as a guest commentator on the “Sean Hannity Show” and “America Live with Megyn Kelly.”

"I love the opportunities that being a guest host affords me, but there's nothing better than being back on a regular basis so I can build a relationship with the listeners,” explains Walter.  “With a full time show, we can get to know each other and it becomes more personal for both them and me!"

KOOL 98.3 is celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer as South Jersey’s original and premier classic hits station. Walters’ program will bring an obvious change to the sound of the station that is known for playing the greatest hits of the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

“It’s a change for us,” said Paul Kelly, Longport Media’s vice president of broadcast operations.  “But it’s a change we believe our listeners will enjoy. The reality is that there needs to be a compelling reason beyond just music to get people to turn on their radios at night. Listeners will make an appointment with their radio so they don’t miss Mary.”

Walter joins an already packed line-up of live and local personalities on KOOL 98.3, including The Morning Wake-up with Dave & Tina; Jennifer Scott; Jackson T. Chase; Jerry Blavat; Rich Fennessy; Mike Bowe; Tom Lamaine and John Lockwood.

Longport Media is also partnering with WYD Media Management with plans to launch the show into national syndication in the coming months, with KOOL 98.3 serving as the flagship station.

“We’re thrilled to have Mary join our team at KOOL 98.3,” said Longport Media president Dave Coskey. “Listeners to KOOL 98.3 who aren’t familiar with Mary’s show and style will find her new program addictive and hard to tune away from. Residents of South Jersey now have another entertainment option in the evening.”

Davy Jones of The Monkees has died at the age of 66, ABC News Radio has confirmed. His rep tells ABC News that Jones passed away from a heart attack in Indian Town, Florida.

Born in Manchester, England, Jones began acting as a young boy, appearing on British TV and onstage in London's West End in the role of the Artful Dodger in Oliver!  After he appeared with the Oliver! cast on The Ed Sullivan Show, Jones was signed to a contract with Screen Gems.  When Screen Gems decided to produce a TV series about a rock and roll band, Jones got an immediate audition, and landed a part after meeting with producers Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider.

Known as the "Prefab Four," Jones and The Monkees -- Peter Tork, Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz -- sold millions of albums thanks to the hit TV series, which ran through 1968.  Jones in particular became a teen idol.

After The Monkees disbanded, Jones continued a solo career, but would reunite on and off with his former band mates for a variety of tours and appearances up to the present day.  He also continued his acting career, both onstage and on TV -- his appearance on The Brady Bunch was particularly memorable, and he also appeared in The Brady Bunch Movie. In addition to live TV work, Jones also lent his voice to animated series like SpongeBob Squarepants.

Jones, who had worked as a jockey in his youth, came full circle by owning and training race horses later in his career.  He also continued to record, with his most recent disc, Just Me, released in 2010.

Also, as any rock trivia buff knows, Jones' mid-sixties popularity with The Monkees is the reason why an up-and-coming singer-songwriter named David Jones changed his name to David Bowie.

THE SECOND ANNUAL ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK RODEO

GALLOPS BACK INTO BOARDWALK HALL ON MARCH 30, 31, AND APRIL 1

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 16, 2012) – After a successful debut in 2011, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo will return to Boardwalk Hall for three more fun-filled days of cowboy competition. On Friday, March 30, Saturday, March 31, and Sunday, April 1, in more than 2 ½ hours of non-stop rodeo action, fans will witness all the events of the rodeo scene. Show time for Friday and Saturday is 7:30 p.m.; show time on Sunday is 1:00 p.m.

The introduction of rodeo to Atlantic City was deemed a success by not only local residents and resort visitors but by the media and event promoters, as well. The event was a direct result of the Honorable Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford's Strategic Planning Committee. This year’s edition is being presented by the Atlantic City Alliance. Atlantic City’s casinos including the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa, Caesars Entertainment, Resorts Casino Hotel, Revel Entertainment, Tropicana Casino & Resort and Trump Entertainment are partners in promoting the event. Other sponsors and supporters include the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority, Tanger Outlets The Walk, the City of Atlantic City, Dodge Trucks, Caterpillar, and more to be announced.

“The Atlantic City Alliance is delighted to support the Rodeo in its second year at Atlantic City,” said Atlantic City Alliance President and CEO Liza Cartmell.  “This is just one example that demonstrates the great diversity of offerings that Atlantic City provides to a broad array of visitors and residents. We are proud to be their partner and look forward to another outstanding performance.”

Exciting events and activities will be taking place around Atlantic City to support the return of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo. The PRCA will be hosting a Championship Rodeo Camp for children ages 8 and older on Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Camp curriculum includes an introduction to Roughstock events such as safety and fundamentals, livestock safety, injury prevention, tips from pros, chute procedures, riding equipment overview, goal setting, and introduction to PRCA. Limited spots are available. To register for the Camp, visit www.prorodeo.com/youthrodeo.aspx. For questions and additional information, e-mail jjutten@prorodeo.com or call (719) 304-1471.

To entice customers and to celebrate this All-American event, the Atlantic City casinos will once again be engaging in marketing efforts at individual properties through various activities such as offering themed entertainment or food and beverage specials, and sharing event information with their employees and guests. Media partners will also soon be announcing their own associated promotions including the “Boardwalk Rodeo Line Dance” on Friday, March 30 at high noon.

In addition to the off-site events mentioned above, Rodeo ticket holders will also receive a special incentive. Courtesy of Berman Travel and Spirit Airlines, event-goers will have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive sweepstakes consisting of two roundtrip tickets for a four day, four night stay in Cancun, Mexico.  Rodeo fans can enter to win this trip by visiting the Berman Travel booth at Boardwalk Hall during each of the event days.

Before you know it, 1,250 tons of dirt will be piling into Boardwalk Hall in preparation for this year’s Rodeo. This special dirt mixture called footing is made up of two parts sand and one part clay and is specifically indigenous to our region. It provides the perfect balance of flexibility and firmness for the animals during the Rodeo. The arrival of this dirt mixture signifies the start of the second annual Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo.

The PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association) sanctioned event, presented by Barnes PRCA Rodeo Company, will bring the biggest rodeo on the East Coast to Atlantic City. More than $90,000 in prize money will be up for grabs, making this a sought-after competition for cowboys and cowgirls from across the country. These cowboys and cowgirls will be put to the test as they make their way through seven challenging PRCA show events including:

  • Bareback Riding- Cowboys must ride a bucking horse for eight seconds, holding onto nothing but a single handhold rigging cinch
  • Tie-Down Roping- A timed race which calls for a mounted cowboy to chase a calf down the arena and rope and tie the calf
  • Saddle Bronc Riding- A test to see if a cowboy can stay in the saddle of a wild, unbroken horse for eight seconds
  • Team Roping- Two riders must ride out and rope a steer in the fastest time.
  • Barrel Racing- A cowgirl and her horse must complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels within the quickest timeframe.
  • Steer Wrestling- After dropping from their horse, the rider must wrestle a steer to the ground by the horns in an effort to stop the clock.
  • Bull Riding- A cowboy must ride a bull for eight seconds while holding onto only a rope which is connected to the bull

“I am very excited that we will be bringing The Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo back for a second year”, said Event Chairperson Janet Markowitz. “Last year’s event received such a positive response and an amazing crowd turnout, it completely surpassed my expectations. Many of last year’s first time Rodeo attendees have now become hooked on the sport and have promised to come back again this year. I am looking forward to making this event even bigger and better than 2011’s.”

Great tickets are still available and are priced at $16, $31, $51 and $102. Family four-packs are also on sale for $79 and include four tickets; four hot dogs and four soft drinks (must be purchased in advance). Philadelphia’s Zach Makovsky defends his World Title vs.

Eduardo Dantas at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City April 13th

Lyman Good Makes His Return to Bellator for Tournament Qualifier

CHICAGO, Ill. (February 10, 2012) — After a spectacular run through the Bellator Season 5 Bantamweight Tournament, Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas (@Dudantas22) has earned his world title shot. With victories over Wilson Reis, Ed West and the explosive Olympian Alexis Vila, Dantas is just a win away from becoming a World Champion when he battles reigning Bellator Bantamweight world Champion Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky (@ZachFunSize) on Friday, April 13 from Atlantic City’s historic Boardwalk Hall.

Tickets for the event are now on sale and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, by phone at (609) 348-7000 and at the Boardwalk Hall box office. Tickets are priced from $50-$150. The event will also be broadcast LIVE starting at 8 p.m. EST on MTV2 and in commercial-free HD on EPIX. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. EST, with the first fight scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. The preliminary card, featuring the area’s top local talent will be streamed LIVE and FREE around the world on Spike.com starting at 7 p.m. EST.

“Our bantamweight division has been electrifying and has provided some of the best Bellator moments,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney. “Zach and Eduardo are two of the greatest bantamweights in MMA today so this should be a really spectacular fight. We always have a packed house whenever we head out to Atlantic City, and I expect nothing less on April 13.”

Widely regarded as the top bantamweight prospect in the world, Dantas stormed through the Season 5 tournament on his way to a title shot with Makovsky. Only 23 years old, the Nova Uniao product brings an incredibly well-rounded attack to Boardwalk Hall, and only has one thing on his mind.

“I’m here at Bellator to win the Bantamweight Championship,” Dantas said. “I plan to not only win the title, but to keep it for many years to come.”

Makovsky enters the cage riding an impressive eight fight win streak, and will look to keep the momentum going in his first career title defense. “Fun Size” currently trains alongside former Bellator Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at the Philadelphia Fight Factory and plans on using his wrestling prowess to dominate Dantas.

“I want to dominate everyone I compete against, but at the same time, I don’t feel like I have to make any kind of statement,” Makovsky said. “I just want to continue getting better and do the best I can every time I enter the cage. I don’t pay attention to the rankings because I feel like that's going to put extra pressure on me. I just look forward to defending my belt on April 13.”

The night will also see the return of Lyman Good (@thegoodcyborg), who rejoins Bellator after nearly a year away from the cage. Good will battle LeVon Maynard, and has his sights set on regaining the form that made him Bellator’s first Welterweight Champion.

“Nothing makes me feel more alive than getting back into that cage,” Good said. “I’ve got a lot of momentum behind me for this fight, and looking forward to getting back to doing what I love. I’ve put in a ton of preparation for this, and just want to reintroduce the MMA world to what I can bring to the table.”

Bellator 65 will also host the semifinals of the promotion’s Season 6 Middleweight Tournament. Maiquel Falcao (@falcaomma), Brian Rogers (@Brogthepredator), Giva Santana (@Givasantana) and Vitor Vianna (@Vitorvianna) headline the stacked tournament and should provide fireworks.

The Boardwalk Hall event will be loaded with local talent, including Pennsylvania native and fan favorite Duane Bastress taking on Pino Cruz, as well as Bellator veteran and Philadelphia resident Tim Carpenter battling Ricardo Romero.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (January 30, 2012)-– When the phrase “brightest and best” is applied to upstate New York dirt track racing circles, Phoenix, N.Y. teenager Larry Wight’s name is at the top of the list.Wight, 19, is the latest of more than 200 drivers to enter Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall Indoor Races.

College student Wight will be making his first start indoors aboard a 600cc Micro Sprint owned by Darren Forbes of Baldwinsville, N.Y. The Micro Sprints are one of four classes of car in competition. The lightning-fast TQ (three quarter) Midgets, the aggressively-driven Slingshots and the missile-like Champ Karts are the others.“The car is an older chassis but we have raced it only once,” said owner Forbes. “It’s a good car and I am sure Larry will do well with it,” Forbes concluded.

Wight, a winner of 88 outdoor races in his driving career, is part of the highly regarded Baldwinsille, N.Y. based Gypsum Racing Team, that fields or backs half a dozen upstate New York big-block and small-block Modified teams.

The biggest day so far in Wight’s racing career came on September 5, 2010, when he outran Alan Johnson, the winningest driver of all time in big-block DIRTCar history.

The combined driver rosters among the four competition classes is approaching 210, having eclipsed 200 late last week. Wight and Forbes will have two chances to win in Boardwalk Hall; the 600cc Micro Sprints are the only division that will have feature races on both Friday and Saturday nights.

NJDOT announces lane closures to resume on Route 30
Absecon Boulevard Bridge work continues

The New Jersey Department of Transportation will resume work requiring lane closures on Route 30 as the project to repair the Route 30/Absecon Boulevard Bridge over Beach Thorofare in Atlantic City, Atlantic County progresses.

Temporary single and double-lane closures will resume over the Route 30 bridge starting Friday, September 16.  Double lane closures will be restricted to nighttime only.  Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Sunday when required.  Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Sunday when required.

The boat channel will remain open for all boats not requiring a bridge opening.  For boats requiring a bridge opening, the U.S. Coast Guard will redirect the waterway traffic to another channel.

The $6 million project, which began construction in April, also includes updating mechanical and electrical systems to the bascule span bridge, reinforcing the retaining walls and painting.  Completion is scheduled for March 2012.

One Day Closing of Corsons Inlet Bridge to Start Rail Replacement Project

Cape May County House – County Engineer Dale Foster announced that the Ocean Drive Bridge over Corsons Inlet will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011 to make final preparations for the rail replacement project.

The bridge will be closed to allow the contractor, Thomas Barry Marine Construction, Inc., to install concrete construction barrier curbs and a portable traffic signal system.  When the bridge reopens, traffic will be restricted to one lane with a barrier curb separating vehicles from the work area.

Foster said, “The purpose of the bridge closure is to allow for the placing of the concrete construction barrier curbs along the centerline of the bridge without having to maneuver around vehicles.  The curbs are awkward to handle because they are 20 feet long and weigh 8,000 pounds per section.”

The construction is divided into four phases in order to maintain traffic on the bridge.  The first phase starts in the southbound lane at the toll booth and ends at the south end of the bridge in Strathmere.  The second phase is the northbound lane from the south end of the bridge in Strathmere to the toll booth.  The last two phases involve the northern portion of the bridge.

On April 13, 2011 the Cape May County Bridge Commission awarded Thomas Barry Marine Construction, Inc. of South Dennis, New Jersey, a $2,293,510 construction contract to replace the bridge railings.  The company has been working all summer preparing for the start of construction.

All work is scheduled to be complete by Memorial Day weekend 2012.  The Cape May County Bridge Commission will suspend the collection of tolls at the bridge beginning September 12th until the project nears completion.

Atlantic County Reports First Positive 2011 West Nile Virus Mosquito Sample

Atlantic County has reported finding a mosquito sample in Somers Point that has tested positive for West Nile Virus. State laboratory testing confirmed evidence of the mosquito-borne disease on August 22. This is the first positive mosquito sample found in Atlantic County this year.

Representatives from the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control collected the samples on August 18 on S. Holly Drive in Somers Point. County public health and mosquito control officials are conducting mosquito surveillance, implementing additional control measures and providing educational materials to area residents.

West Nile Virus can be transmitted to birds, animals and humans from infected mosquitoes. Crows are particularly vulnerable to the virus. Testing crows and other birds that have been dead for no more than 24 hours can help health officials determine if the virus is present in a particular region.

Health officials encourage residents to prevent the spread of West Nile Virus by following these simple steps:

* Avoid mosquito bites by using an insect repellent whenever going outdoors. Repellents are an important tool to assist people in protecting themselves from mosquito-borne diseases. The Centers for Disease Control recommends the use of products containing active ingredients which have been registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use as repellents applied to skin and clothing and approved for efficacy and human safety when applied as directed. Be sure to follow product directions carefully and consult with your child’s doctor prior to using on children.

* Rid properties of mosquito breeding grounds by draining standing water.
Buckets, bird baths, flower pots and other containers can hold water and provide an ideal environment for mosquitoes. Be sure to empty these containers regularly.

* Clean clogged gutters; check and repair screen doors.
 * Report dead birds to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health by calling 609-645-5971.

For more information about West Nile Virus, visit the Atlantic County Web site at: www.aclink.org/publichealth or call our Mosquito Control and West Nile Virus hotline at 877-643-2287. For information or assistance in draining standing water from your property, call the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control at 609-645-5948.

Post Irene Flooding on Great Egg Harbor and Mullica Rivers

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, Atlantic County is now experiencing anticipated flooding on the Great Egg Harbor River in Hamilton Township and the Mullica River in Mullica Township as heavy rainfall from the storm is producing increased water levels. Since midnight river levels have risen one half foot and are still rising.

The impacts were first felt yesterday as water began to wash over roadways causing some damage and making some roadways impassable. The county had notified residents in advance of the flooding via Global Connect phone messages that they should prepare for flooding and to potentially leave the area. An additional message was sent at 6 AM this morning advising residents to evacuate if their properties were endangered and they felt it unsafe to remain.

"Although we may have escaped Irene relatively unscathed, river flooding still poses a dangerous threat. Our job is to protect the safety of our residents and to advise them of potential risks and dangers and what actions they need to take to prepare and respond," stated County Executive Dennis Levinson.

Roads that are currently experiencing flooding include:

Hamilton Township
Weymouth DaCosta Road between Route 322 and Weymouth Mizpah Road
5 Points (Lenape Ave., Park Rd., Hudson St., Ken Scull Ave., 3rd St.)
Route 561 spur(Mays Landing Blue Anchor Rd.) between 8th and 54th St.

Elwood-Pleasant Mills Road between Nesco Road and Jackson Road
Nesco Road at Burlington County line

Hammonton
Columbia Road near Airport Road

Egg Harbor Township
Bridge EHT 21 on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road, between English Creek and Zion Road

County engineering crews continue to assess roadways and bridges for damages related to Hurricane Irene and current river flooding. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and not to drive through standing water.

Residents who need assistance should call their local Office of Emergency Management. Contact numbers are posted on www.ReadyAtlantic.org and also available in the blue pages of the phone book.

Residents with damage from the August 26-28 storm may report it by completing the online form on the county web site at: www.aclink.org
