CIRQUE DU SOLEIL DRALION
AUGUST 29 – SEPTEMBER 2 VARIOUS TIMES
Fusing the 3000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show's name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West. In Dralion, the four elements that govern the natural order take on a human form. Thus embodied, each element is represented by its own evocative colour: air is blue; water is green; fire is red; earth is ochre. In the world of Dralion, cultures blend, Man and Nature are one, and balance is achieved. Showtimes as follows: Wed. August 29 7:30 p.m.; Thurs. August 30 7:30 p.m.; Fri. August 31 7:30 p.m.; Sat. Sept. 1 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.; Sun. Sept. 2 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Tickets range in price: Adults: from $35 to $80; Children (12 & under) from $28 to $65; Military, Seniors & Students: from $31.50 to $67.50. A limited number of Premium tickets are also available for all performances. For group discounts, call 609-348-7023.
