HOCKEY AT BOARDWALK HALL

GET YOUR HOCKEY FIX AT BOARDWALK HALL ON NOVEMBER 25

WHEN THE AHL’S ALBANY DEVILS FACE OFF AGAINST

THE WILKES BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS

Event to Kick-Off the First of Four Game Series

Atlantic City, NJ – Hockey fans rejoice! In less than one week, you will have another opportunity to experience the thrill of a live game of ice hockey. On Sunday, November 25, the AHL’s Albany Devils will return to the Art Dorrington Ice Rink at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City to take on the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins. This match will be the first of a four game series that the Devils will participate in this winter at Boardwalk Hall. Doors open at 3 p.m. with a game time start of 4 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased for as low as $11, providing families with a fun and affordable outing for their holiday weekend. A perfect ending to Thanksgiving once the parade is over, turkey is gone, and Black Friday deals have been scored! In addition to an action packed game of ice hockey, the day will also be filled with special deals, games, and contests.

Kay Wright, System Analyst for Caesars Atlantic City, will be kicking off the game with the national anthem. A  long-time resident of Atlantic City, Wright has been with the company for 25 years and her singing talents were first discovered by Caesars in 2008 when she won first place in the company talent show. Over the years she has performed with choirs at notable venues such as the House of Blues Atlantic City, the former Sands Casino Hotel, and New York City’s own Carnegie Hall.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take advantage of special deals during the game such as dollar hot dogs. Lucky ticket holders may also go home with prizes from our t-shirt toss or be called out as a lucky seat winner and win a free overnight stay at Caesars Atlantic City. Intermission contests will give fans even more chances to win big. At the end of the first period, 103.7 WMGM’s Matt Murray will host 103.7 WMGM Rocks Rapid Fire where two contestants will be randomly selected to participate in a shootout on the ice. The contestant who can place the most pucks in the net within thirty seconds will win a gift card to one of our great, local restaurants. Matt Murray will be taking entries for this contest before the start of the game from 2 to 4 p.m. during a live remote from Boardwalk Hall.  At the end of the second period, the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey will host a Chuck-A-Puck contest. During the game, fans will be able to stop by the United Way booth to purchase foam pucks which they will be able to “chuck” onto the ice for a chance to win a cash prize. A portion of the proceeds

from this contest will benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

If that isn’t enough, New Jersey Devils alumnus Grant Marshall will be on hand to meet and greet with fans before the game and during the first period. Marshall played professionally for 14 seasons, including four-plus years for the Devils’ organization from 2003-08. He was a member of New Jersey’s 2003 Stanley Cup Championship team, after winning his first Cup with the Dallas Stars in 1999. Marshall is in his fifth season as a member of the Devils Alumni Association, where he participates in various charitable initiatives set forth by the organization.

At the end of the game, ticket holders will have the opportunity to kick-off the holiday season with a free public skate on the ice. Be sure to bring your skates, gloves, scarves, and hats and skate around with your family and friends!

The Albany Devils games at Boardwalk Hall will be presented by the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority and Caesars Atlantic City. The other three games scheduled to take place this winter are Sunday, January 13 vs. Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Sunday, January 20 vs. Adirondack Phantoms, and Sunday February 24 vs. Hershey Bears.
