The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

presented by

Wildwood Catholic High School

Can you spell H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S???!!!!  Craving a fun musical comedy to sweep you up in the action and keep you laughing all the way home? Then this Tony Award - winning story of six adolescent outsiders and three oddball adults in search of spelling bee glory is the show for you. Join us as Wildwood Catholic HS presents the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, with music and lyrics by William Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin.  Performances are Saturday, February 23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday,  February 24th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of six young school kids, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves,  vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime and a trip to nationals in Washington. A quirky yet charming cast of overachievers, for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time, will warm your heart, tickle your funny bone and perhaps teach you a valuable lesson; winning isn’t everything and losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser!

Also on Sunday the 24th , enjoy a pasta buffet with 6 different sauces, served with Caesar salad & dessert, at Wildwood Catholic’s Annual Pasta Festival from 4 – 7 pm. Carol Herforth, of the Island Grill in Cape May, has graciously agreed to run the Pasta Festival again this year. The price is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 11. Or better yet, come for the 2 pm show and the Pasta Festival for only $20.

Contact the school at 609 -  522 - 7257  for tickets and/or information. Tickets are also available at the door. The school is located at 1500 Central Avenue in North Wildwood.

So, grab a cape and juice box and join the fun! It will be W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L!
