AHL ALBANY DEVILS TO WRAP UP FOUR-GAME SERIES
AT BOARDWALK HALL ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24
Atlantic City, NJ – Don’t miss out on your final chance to see AHL hockey in Atlantic City this season! On Sunday, February 24, the AHL’s Albany Devils will return to the Art Dorrington Ice Rink once more to take on the Hershey Bears. This game will conclude the last of a four-game series for the Albany Devils at Boardwalk Hall. Doors open at 3 p.m. with a game time start of 4 p.m.
Great tickets for this event are still available and can be purchased for as little as $11. Bring the whole family and take advantage of this fun and affordable indoor event. Besides a hard-hitting game of ice hockey, ticket holders will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting contests and activities!
With less than 30 games remaining in the 2012-13 regular season, the Albany Devils are in a playoff hunt in the Eastern Conference. Since Dec. 1, the Devils are 16-11-1-4, improving their record to 20-19-1-9 overall.
Ms. Judah Dorrington will be kicking off the game with the national anthem. A resident of Atlantic City, she is also the daughter of Art Dorrington for whom Boardwalk Hall’s ice rink is named. This will be a celebratory day for Dorrington as she will be honored for her lifetime musical achievements by the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority later that night after her anthem performance.
Throughout the game, there will be a plentiful amount of “Sweet Deals Drawings”, giving lucky fans the chance to walk away with a selection of prizes. These prizes include overnight stays at Caesars Atlantic City, gift certificates for Carmines, Girasole, Shop Rite Supermarkets, and Atlantic City Restaurant week, as well as tickets to upcoming Boardwalk Hall events such as the 2013 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship on March 22 and 23 and WWE’s Road to Wrestlemania on March 30. All attendees have the chance to win!
There are also intermission activities scheduled to keep fans entertained after the end of the first and second period. At the first intermission, children from the Art Dorrington Ice Hockey Foundation will participate in a youth scrimmage on the ice. At the end of the second period, the Covenant House of Atlantic City will host a Chuck-A-Puck contest. During the game, fans will be able to stop by the Covenant House booth to purchase foam pucks which they will be able to “chuck” onto the ice for a chance to win a cash prize. A portion of the proceeds from this contest will benefit the Covenant House, an organization developed to provide services to homeless and at-risk adolescents under the age 22 in the areas of food, shelter, clothing, crisis care, healthcare, educational and vocational services, counseling, drug abuse treatment and prevention, legal services, mother/child programs, transitional living programs, street outreach, and aftercare.
Additionally, Devil Dawg will be in the building to mingle with fans and host one of his famous t-shirt tosses!
Tickets are available at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office and through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com or 800/736-1420) for those interested in catching the Albany Devils at Boardwalk Hall for the last time this season. Prices are as follows: $26 for the first two rows on the glass, $21 for the lower bowl, and $16 for the upper bowl. Special rates are available for kids 2-12, seniors 65+, military, students, and groups of 10 or more. These discounted rates are priced at $16 for the lower bowl and $11 for the upper bowl. Four packs can also be purchased for $65 and include four tickets in the upper bowl, four hot dogs, and four soft drinks (note: four packs must be purchased in advance). All tickets that are purchased on game day will be $1 higher in price.
Fan Experience Packages are also available which allows hockey fans, groups, and youth
organizations to become part of the action on the ice on game day. Hockey clubs who purchase
100 or more tickets for any game at any price will receive 90 minutes of free ice time at
