Seashore Gardens Living Center and MAPS Foundation Hosts 3rd Annual Enriching Lives 5K Run/Walk on

(Atlantic City, NJ) February 28, 2013 – It is time to sign up for one of New Jersey’s most popular run/walk events for this 2013 season. The Seashore Gardens Living Center and MAPS Foundation Inc. is hosting their 3rd Annual Enriching Lives 5K Run/Walk in Atlantic City starting at Resorts Casino Hotel on Sunday, April 14. Over the past three years this increasingly popular run/walk has continued to attract more and more participants. Join WOND radio personality, Barbara Altman, our honorary race director and runner with chair Michael Weinraub, Esq Vice President of Seashore Gardens Living Center, elder care attorney and also an avid runner.
“This event joins two community organizations, Seashore Gardens Living Center who is committed to enriching the lives of its residents and raising awareness for the causes that affect our elderly community and MAPS Foundation assisting those affected with Alzheimer’s’, Parkinson’s’ and Multiple Sclerosis. The enthusiasm and support we continually receive from our sponsors, community and entrants is so inspiring. Many have commented that the scenic course along the world famous AC boardwalk is one of the best to participate,” said Janice Cambron, Executive Director of Seashore Gardens Living Center and Vice President of MAPS Foundation.
The 5K Walk/Run will start and end at Resorts Casino Hotel on Sunday, April 14. Interested participants are encouraged to pre-register by April 7, 2012 at www.Active.com and www.SeashoreGardens.org for only $25. All entrants will receive a commemorative event T-shirt. Participants will also be able to register up to the day of the event as well as sign up on race day for $30. The race begins at 9 a.m., registrations starts at 7:15 a.m. on the Boardwalk outside of Resorts Casino Hotel (North Carolina Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ).
Awards will be given for Top 3 overall, male and female, and the top male and female finishing in the following categories: Age Groups 15- 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+, Wheelchair Participants, Tortoise Award, Top Fundraising Team and Largest Team. Timing, registration and course will be provided by Athletes Korner Sports Timing Systems, Inc.
